let me be


Please leave me alone
Let me be
I am broken into pieces
Just let me be

I don’t want to wake up
to this gloomy day
which matches my mood perfectly

I need some time to mend
my bleeding heart
The stabbing wounds
that took me apart

 I promise I will come back
with a smile on my face
It will be just perfect
you won’t see a trace

I promise to shut up
and be politically correct
Just give me a few days
so I can get it straight
